«Quien estuvo en el Caracol de Oventic el 19 de octubre de 2017 no tuvo como no saberlo: los pueblos originarios están más que vivos. Más de 10 mil personas llenaban el caracol, entre bases de apoyo zapatistas, pueblos del CNI, adherentes a la Sexta, concejales y concejalas del CIG. La niebla, esa niebla tan retratada en los primeros días del levantamiento en 1994, cubría las montañas y desdibujaba los contornos, de manera que no se veía el fin de ese mar de gente reunida en lo que fue el último día de la gira del CIG en territorio zapatista.»
